And...SCENE!

So while I feel like I've had no time to myself, in all actuality I've had a ton and come up with some great ideas and actually finished a painting.

Here it is, from a multitude of different views. Lemme know what you think!

"Siddown an' Shaddap"
30"x36"
Water based Oils and Acrylic on Canvas
Above is the finished version and the best photograph I could take. I know I've said it here before but I'm an absolutely awful photographer. Anyone who wants to come take pictures of my work please do! 'Cuz I suck at it. Below is the same painting and mainly the same photo as well just with the flash on. 'Cuz I suck.
This is just for size comparison. The actual size is 36" (h) x 30" (w)
This is how I add the "drips." I'm sure there's a technical term for this but I don't know it. So they're drips. Also this is the point where see all the mistakes I've made an instead of fixing them I just embrace them.
The painting is resting on my painting sweatshirt. In the winter obviously I paint while wearing it and I use it to clean my brushes. During the summer however it also doubles as a drop cloth.

  2. Awesome painting!
Revival of the mind, without loss of primitive self is what comes to mind, to me.

Wondering if that's a skull in the background of the gorilla or just a fixture?

  3. Nice eye, and Rita you know we could fight over this for hours but that is a skull behind the ape. A sugar skull if you wanna get into it, also if you look closely within the orange I did more "curvy" designs.
