My Saturday Night

Some people, scratch that, most people are out doing some with other people. Fortunately I havent left this room other than walking the dog or going to the bathroom.

I have no life, and aside from missing the wife, this is fun for me. Though it wouldnt hurt to have other people around.

An experiment of sorts.

I'm not sure if the experiment was a success or not. I'm going to say something terribly cliche and therefore I apologize in advance. I am my own worst critic.

What I'm going to post for your judgment is the original sketch and the same sketch digitally inked by myself. I've never done this before, this is for a "contest" for monsterfactory.net (there stuff is AWESOME, thank you Meg for showing me)

This is the first time I've used my Wacom tablet to ink something instead of just drawing something brand new with it. So seriously, leave some feed back!
Above is obviously the original sketch (at 72dpi). You can see where I got bored of drawing/anxious to try digital inking.

Here's my attempt at digital inking it's real size is 11"x17", and at 72dpi it's not too bad. However at 300dpi it looks like I asked Michael J. Fox to ink it. Maybe I should get tested to make sure I don't have MS like Teenwolf.

Anyway, lemme know what you guys think!

Also here's the image of the monster I included in my illustration:

Ugh

So for those of you who might not have heard, this weekend Mark Batty Publishing had an event in Bushwick that was pretty amazing. Graffiti artists where doing HUGE murals that were gorgeous even if you think it's a crime. A ton of gallery spaces, awesome food, free drinks, and a buncha vendors selling hand made original clothes, jewelry, toys, comics, paintings, and dvds.

I was one of those vendors and I made a handful of cash so all of you who got a chance to come out I appreciate it. If you didn't I promise there will be more. I'M BACK ON THE GRIND!

Anyways while I was there during the downtime I did some drawing. Which I will now post so that you may anonymously mock it.

ENJOY! Also please follow me if you have a blog, I will return the favor.

Wow, it's been a while.

My bad, sorry.

It's not that I haven't been drawing it's just that I've been having trouble figuring out what to draw so I end up doodling, and those pages suck. Here's an example/proof:

But once I realized I hadn't sketched out my next painting, or really drawn it at all other than the pictures I see in my pea-sized brain I started figuring out how to draw it. In pieces 'cuz it's easier for me to break it into easily digestible items and put them together like a puzzle. So here it is. Lemme know what you think!

A lil' late, but better than a missed period?

So yea, those of you who follow me on facebook have seen that I've been trying to update that frequently, and those of you who only follow me there won't read this. DAMN YOU! Anyways, I was going to start a new painting that involves a saber tooth tiger skull and autumn leaves but my girlfriend said "If you don't keep painting animals practicing religion you'll never see my boobs again."

Ok she didn't say that but she did say I should keep painting 'em so spontaneously I figured out what I wanted to do. Needless to say I sketched it out today and I worked out the details in pen and just started writing random words. Free association is how I title most of my pieces. Enjoy!

And another one...

I feel like Puff Daddy with these updates, not only are they not all that good, they're also CONSTANTLY being thrown in your face. So sit down, shut up, and enjoy.

The first drawing is a tattoo idea for a friend of mine, based off a tattoo design I did for another friend who plays in the band The Smashup. The second, retarded, step child, drawing is a quick drawing of one of my favorite comic characters, Tank Girl. Phillip Bond drew her and I still try to steal from him. This isn't even remotely close to being like Phillip Bond.

I thought I told you that we don't stop, I thought I told you that we don't stop.

Doodlebug.

So I've been gone a few days but I've been doodling while away. Also since one of my co-workers said my blog was proof that I was a hack, you'll notice a difference in the material posted from here on out.

I have 3 pages of doodles and 1 sketch. Enjoy, and comment please.
